Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3042.00 (X64) Feb 10 2007 00:59:02
Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 1)

My server reports the above result when i executed select @@version after applying the service pack 2.

Is this right??

Thanks

the builds are pretty confusing right now.

read this article for explanation http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=933508 . build 3050 is the latest SP2 release right now. The link that MohammedU posted is for a cumulative hotfix rollup that can be applied on top of that.

EDIT:
fixed link (removed dot at end)

"my version still shows sp1"

Is that perhaps SP1 for Windows (rather than the SPn for SQL?)

I think the way that is shown is crap, to be honest.
