Hi,

I need to give a sysadmin role to a user and I need to prevent that user to access some tables in specific databases...

thanks in advance...

Doesn't work that way

What does the "user" need to do?????

If you give them sa, they can do anything

this is a user account created for another company that is going to do some changes on our database.

this user needs to be able to create and test the link for our db and their db.

giving this user dbo access does not solve the problem. the user needs to be a sysadmin in order to create the link.

we are willing to give them sysadmin permission but we do not want them to see some tables in db.

I hope it is clear now...

Thank you for your time...
