Drop the database you created, delete it's files, and retry the command above.

So there is no database by that name, and no file named backgroundplusnet_Log.LDF?

You run sp_attach_single_file_db and you get 1813?

If this is the case, There is one option to recover the database, but you will need to call Microsoft Support. They will assist you in recovering the DB.

"well the problem is i dont have a "legal" copy of sql server"

not a good idea (admitting or doing it)!...reversing the scenario....how would you like not to get paid for your work? despite a lot of misgivings about microsoft, work done needs to be paid for.

in this case, your economy means that you have to resort to 'free' advice to sort out a problem that may have an real economic cost to you.

shortcut's sometimes lead you through quicksand.

Inland doesn't matter here...he seems to be drowning, so maybe the (MS) Navy would be his best bet.

well you can go ahead and report me, but I do not have any illegal copy of SQL Server. All my clients are hosted at a major hosting company that I sub things out to, so I have nothing to worry about, since I do not own any servers or any software that I have not purchased
