I have 2 SQL Server7.0 Databases (Master and Live) both are structurally thesame but not replicas ( in terms of replication of a database ). Each database has over 100+ Tables, some are very small in terms of the number of records they contain.

There are in all about 5 Tables with little under 800000 records. Master has about 750000 records that are not in the Live based on the Primary Keyset( combination of 5 fields) and Live has about 45000 records that are not in Master.

We are trying to append records both ways and also synchronise particular Data fields (Update both ways).

Hardware: Windows 2000 Sever, over 20GB free Hard drive space, PageFile.sys set at 1000MB currently and 128MB Memory.

I will really appreciate your support at this stage.

look into software from redgate.com.....very useful for comparing database structures and data contents....and acting on the differences...ie synchronishing them.

can be acquired on trial basis....quite cheap....(ballpark <$100)

as always, take backups before attempting this operation....with or without the use of redgate.com.
