Hi All,I have a mssql server that is located somewhere and i can only able to access it with my pc mssql when VPN is connected. Is there any solution/configuration that can let me to access the it without connecting to the VPN? Please advice. |

You need to talk to your network admins to see what they have available. There isn't anything in SQL Server to configure excent to choose which protocols for SQL Server to listen on and which protocol the client will use.Tara Kizerhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |

This is has nothing to do with SQL Server. It is basically network configuration and security issue. For security purposes, it only allows connection from remote site to be via VPN. quote: Is there any solution/configuration that can let me to access the it without connecting to the VPN?
Yes. Basically this will involved configuration of firewall, router etc and will be compromising on the security aspect. KH |
