| Tom writes "I am trying to restore the master database in SQL 7.0. I can restore the master database but then the SQL connection is broken and the SQL server will not start. I must then rebuild the master from the CD. This is not helping me get the data I need from a master back-up stored on the server. Any sugestions?Thank you" |

| If you rebuild your master database using the rebuildm utility, you should be able to start SQL Server in single-user mode and then restore the backup of your original master database. ---------------Strong SQL Developer wanted in the Boston area.
