Instead of doing it via Enterprise Manager, use sp_attach_db from Query Analyzer (see BOL for syntax)

I think that if these were in full SQL 8.0 compatibility mode (i.e. fully SQL 2000 converted) that you may not be able to attach them to a SQL 7.0 server. At least I know that you can't RESTORE a SQL 2000 backup to a SQL 7.0 server, I'm guessing it is the same with Attach/Detach.
