| Abbas writes "Dear sir/madamI am working in a large company and we have many related databases, so we have installed four instance of SQL Server 2000 on 4 PCs and distribute databases on these servers. Unfortunately our network performance reduces when some users are connected to servers. Is it better to install all databases on just one server?total number of databases are 12 and each of them has no more than 120MB size.If there is any performance tuning guide, please help me.Abbas" |

Sounds like you've diagnosed the problem already, and you should probably direct this to your network admin. He can profile the segment(s), see what traffic is going where, possibly upgrade the SAN, etc. Nothing to do w/ SQL Server, however.quote: Unfortunately our network performance reduces when some users are connected to servers.
