Lhot writes "Hi, is it possible to install SQL7 and SQL2000 client on one machine? I tried installing SQL2000 on my machine with existing SQL7 client. I noticed that my SQL7 was just updated and now, I only have one Enterprise Manager. I would like to be able to have separate SQL7 and SQL2000 on my machine. Please help. ThanksLhot"

You must install SQL7 first. When installing SQL2K, be sure to check the option that installs a named instance. Not a default instance. This will allow you to run both of them. I don't think you can run both sets of tools on the same machine however. But that shouldn't matter as the SQL2K tools (EM, Query Analyzer) work just fine with SQL7.Jeff BanschbachConsultant, MCDBA

SQL 2000 will update your tools. But you can administer 7.0 with 2000 tools.-Chad
