Hi

I would have a look at the Profiler tool that comes with SQL Server. It will show you what is going on.

Also, set "Show Execution Plan" in Query Analyzer, it will show you where any bottlenecks might be.

Or I can tell you, if you are using any cursors in your query. Stop it right now

Damian, thanks for your reply, however I am not understand of what you was telling me. Could you please tell what to do now?
How can I look at Profiler tool that comes with SQL Server?
How can I set Show Execution Plan" in Query Analyzer?

What I did was righ click on the server, select the Memory tab then look under Minimum Query Memory (kb) is set to : 1024

I also select Connection tab, then look under Query time out (sec,0,unlimited) is set 600

Is that mean I need to increased more than 600 in order to avoid the time out? Help please I don't really know much about these thing

Thanks

Come on Vicki, put in a little bit of effort.

I told you to look for a tool, but you didn't try

Start -> Programs -> Microsoft SQL Server -> Profiler

And in Query Analyzer the option for "Show Execution Plan" is under the "Query" Meny.

Come on, if you want help, that is fine, it's what we are here for, but please spend 30 seconds trying to figure stuff out for yourself
