| Hello,First time poster. I have a sql server 2005 db at home that i want to access from a website. when the website tries to access it i get the following code:An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) I have gone through all the tutorials on allowing remote connections and added port 1433 to the firewall exceptions. I can connect to the sql server through sql management studio when im on another network. Not sure why i am getting this error. Please help. Carlos. |
