Is your database that you are wanting to restore it to in read-only mode and with recovery option left off...hence letting it know that there will be more stuff (t-logs) to restore? Is your t-log, that you are wanting to restore, the first log backup from your source database after the full backup?

Lumigent log explorer. I haven't used it for a couple years but I remember it seemed like it was more of a detective tool than a data recovery tool. You could do data recovery but it seemed a bit tedious.

"Is there any tools available for recover data from log files..?"I usually restore the backup (FULL +Tlogs etc) to a separate, temp, database then "copy" the required rows to the "Live" database. Then drop the Temp database.Kristen

Log Explorer is not a detective tool, and recovery with it is straightforward.

Not in my experience. Maybe I had an older version or something. It was very tedious to use. Yea, there was the option to undo the transaction, but it seemed more like a detective tool to me. I didn't see much of a way to automate anything with it. I was being asked things like...have it spit out a report on a daily basis to tell us who changed what. I just didn't happen to find it very useful since we didn't have to undo/rollback commited transactions very often if ever. Maybe in other shops it's useful for their situation(s).
