Dear Gurus,

I have asked the same problem in two weeks ago. Please dont avoid this post as a duplicate post

still I have the same problem.

I took firstly Full backup and then transaction backup in 20 minutes interval sheduled first time everything goes okay! It's succesfull but, at the next execution time it shows the db in restoring
mode and then i run restore database with recovery statement

what i have to do? Please suggest me to solve this problem.

it just screwed me

Thanks

Are you performing a restore at the time the database goes into restoring mode?

I doubt that the backup plan is causing this. But to be sure, please post your code.

Also you may need to run SQL Profiler to determine exactly what is going on.

Tara Kizer, Thanks for the quick response.

It is a maintainance plan. I didn't write any code. Shall I post the maintanance plan code..?

No. I seriously doubt that a maintenance plan would cause this.

You need to check Event Viewer in the Application and System Logs to see if there are any errors that occurred at the same time it went into this state.

I have checked event viewer (Application,Security and system) , at the same time i didnt find any information from the three sections. It was happent by yesterday 8.00 PM (CST). The same time i didnt find any single entry in those sections. I got one entry by yesterday 6:12 PM. which is
"SQLServerAgent service successfully started. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
Because of I have restartd the SQl server. I dont know what i have to do.

Thanks

You should open a case with MS.

You can even be a beginner to open a case with MS. It does not require any special knowledge (except a little information about your environment) as they'll be analyzing your environment to figure out what happened.

Oh and I'm not a guru.

So you done full backup then the transactions logs fire every 20 minutes.
So you now trying to restore...using gui i thought if im not mistaken it tells you to do a tail end backup or something of that nature.

The backups should display in the gui and must be carried out like so
Full backup
TRANSACTION LOG 1
LOG 2 etc

What is the exact problem
