My database is set to retricted file growth to 10MB. My application stops appending records and giving an error "Database Insertion Error".
I observe that the transaction log reaches to its limit. When I setup the transaction log to unrestricted file growth and click apply. the settings is not taking effect.
--- are there any way to rollback the restricted file growth to unrestricted?

Have you tried doing this without the GUI?

alter database dbname modify file (name = <physical_filename>, maxsize=UNLIMITED, filegrowth=10MB)
