Greg writes "My web hosting company uses SQL Server 2000. I have SQL Server 7.0 with no chance at upgrading to 2000. My employers simply won't do it. I get the following error when I attempt to connect to my database via Enterprise Manager:
"upgrade your SQL Enterprise Manager and SQL-DMO(SQLOLE) to SQL Server 2000(SQLDMO) to connect to this server..." I posted to some newsgroups and have received a few different responses. One told me that I needed to upgrade my client tools, such as EM and QA, plus they said something about me needing a license to do it this way. Another said that I need SQL Server 2000's Enterprise Manager. Another said that I simply cannot manage newer SQL Server versions with the older version's tools. Another said, "ADP with Access". I don't even know what that is. I'm new to SQL Server and would appreciate any help you could give me. My web hosting company said that I should be able to download the new versions of EM at microsoft's web site, but I've searched with no luck at all. Thank you very much in advance."
