Hi,I have got dbo , in the database security - logins. But I do not find it in the System - Security - Logins. When I try to re-create it throws an error. The server principle - dbo already exists.I have got all the schemas in the database under dbo.So I cannot drop the dbo from the database. How can I fix thisThanks

There is nothing to fix. dbo is built-in and not something that you create or drop.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

This on SQL 2005. Few days back , the system crashed and we re-built the system. And after that we are unable to run the crystal reports. And also , I do not see the 'dbo' under the system - security - logins which I am thinking is creating the problem. Thanks

Post your error rather than telling us what the problem is. You can probably fix this by unorphaning your users/logins.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

That's not the error that we need. We need to see the error from your reports that is making you think you need to create the dbo account.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

Hi Tara,Thanks for the help. I got that fixed. The owner name under the database files was empty. So , I put the dbo as the owner and that fixed the error. Thanks once again.
