Hi

I need a simple command to truncate my transaction log. Currently it is 4gb and my .mdf file is only 300mb.

I have tried BOL, but all I need is a command to truncate it.

Thanks!

You mean you want to SHRINK the transaction log size?

Hi I've tried shrinking it, but it does not reduce any more. It's 4gb and I just want it to be as low as possible.

Oh I got it. I changed the back up recovery mode to simple from Full and then shrunk the log file. Everything ok now. Thanks!
