I have a database with 2 almost identical tables.
Each one is about 1.2 Billion rows, 0.5 Tb each.
I've truncated one of them and started SHRINK DB WITH REORGANIZE PAGES
It is running already for 3 days.
When should I start to worry :)

Thank you in advance

You should run it in smaller chunks. It will complete much faster.

Use MVJ's script to do it: http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=80355

Thank you very much
I was not aware of this
Is it safe to stop shrink db at any moment?
I think it is safe but I've heard some rumours on this forum. Dont remember where exactly...

I stopped that before, no issue for me. May take some time to stop for db that size.
