If I am understanding you correctly you want to view your Full Text Catalogs within the database on SQL Server 2005. If that is true, then once you open up the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio expand your server. Find the database that is supposed to have the Full Text Catalogs and expand the database object tree and look for a folder that reads "Storage". Expand the Storage folder and right underneath that you will see a folder that reads "Full Text Catalogs". You will find your catalogs in there.Brett DavisSenior SQL Server DBAFor more helpful tips checkout my blog at: http://www.lockergnome.com/sqlsquirrel/

Don't have to since sql2k backup doesn't include full text catalog at all.

Not even with detach/attach, only moves over when you upgrade whole sql2k instance to sql2k5 with in place upgrading.
