| sp2 is pretty smartfor an active/active cluster you run it on one node and it updates both nodes for the instance. then run it again for the other instance.i'm a little more paranoid and like the followingfail over to 1 noderun sp2 and upgrade 1 instancereboot both nodesmake sure both instances are on the second noderun sp2reboot both nodesput instances back where they are supposed to be |

| You have to patch client tools, ssis and so on each node. |
