| in taskmgr on server, do u see processes running? may need to kill them.have u applied SP2?i never had this problem, and do run some command scripts this way.hate to say it, but...tried rebooting server?nothing in event logs? |

| what is the exact syntax of the command you are using to execute the 32bit command? I have a feeling you have a syntax error there. You have to use double quotes not single quotes when specifying the path.-ec |

Yes, I've tried this:exec master.dbo.xp_cmdshell 'c:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\cmd.exe /C c:\tmp\test.bat' Does not work but this from DOS does:c:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\cmd.exe /C c:\tmp\test.bat ? |
