| Hi thereIs there any issues to point the Microsoft SQL Server Upgrade Advisor to the SQL2K production environment during normal hours? Any issues that you know of? Or anything that I should to know about this tools?Thanks |

| it really wouldn't be a best practice to do something like this.you should run the advisor against other databases to understand how it works first. I personally would run the advisor against a copy of prod, not the actual prod environment - but that is just me being a dba.-ec |

| Hi,Upto my knowledge there wouldn't be any effect by running upgrade advisor aainst production database.But,don't install that on production server install that on any other box which is in network.Regards,Sireesh |
