| Hi allWe generally modify the logical name of a data file or log file from the vendor defined to our standard name. Is there any impact that you know about this? If you have 2 seperate database and accidently you have 2 same logical name .. I dont' think that will be an issue ... correct?ALTER DATABASE XXX_UATMODIFY FILE (NAME = 'mdd_Data', NEWNAME = 'XXX_UAT_Data')GOALTER DATABASE XXX_UATMODIFY FILE (NAME = 'mdd_Log', NEWNAME = 'XXX_UAT_Log')GO |

| no problem having same logical name for different database files.only impact to renaming vendor supplied dbs is if they have code that does backup/restore or other file manipulation with the logical name hard-coded |
