sql 2005 table ?
Hi everyone,

I need to assemble information from my outlook account into a database table. Is it possible to insert "title" of a set of mails recieved into a table ? sender's name ? recipient's name? body? etc...

thanks

Yes. It is possible. Here are some of the ways.

1. You can use the Outlook COM API. I wouldn't recommend this because SQL Server will be running in a different machine and will not have access to your local outlook not unless you configure Outlook on the SQL Server itself and you will even run into security issues.

2. If you are not particular about Outlook and your email server is Exchange you can consider WebDAV.

I hope this helps.

Thanks

Depending on your requirements you could write a macro in outlook to create an excel spreadsheet for you and then you can upload the data into SQL server rather easily.
