Hi experts,

I am upgrading my database from SQL Server 2000, SP4 to SQL server 2005, SP2.

1) Is it required to recreated my user defined functions? I mean drop them and recreate them again?

2) Do I need to recreate the views and Stored procedure?

3) Do we have a checklist from Micorosoft for upgradation?

Thanks in advance

Regards
Sachin

Depends on the compatibility you choose after upgrading:

If you choose 80: you won't be able to have new functionality of 2005
If you choose 90: you won't be able to have new functionality of 2000

But you don't need to rewrite the code

There is an Upgrade wizard , run it and it will give you lists of issues to consider.
