You could make a linked server or maybe use WMI? E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |

As a quick workaround, you can use the free sysinternals command, PSINFO, to get the memory and a lot of other info.psinfo \\MyServerPsInfo v1.73 - Local and remote system information viewerCopyright (C) 2001-2005 Mark RussinovichSysinternals - www.sysinternals.comSystem information for \\MyServer:Uptime: 99 days 19 hours 51 minutes 11 secondsKernel version: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Multiprocessor FreeProduct type: Standard EditionProduct version: 5.2Service pack: 2Kernel build number: 3790Registered organization: MyCompanyRegistered owner: MyCompanyInstall date: 8/23/2007, 2:25:24 AMActivation status: Error reading statusIE version: 7.0000System root: C:\WINDOWSProcessors: 4Processor speed: 3.0 GHzProcessor type: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPUPhysical memory: 5500 MBVideo driver: ATI ES1000 CODO ERGO SUM |

| This is really great! Thanks MVJ. I will run the tool for my servers and probably write a textpad macro to filter the necessary infomration. ------------------------I think, therefore I am - Rene Descartes |

Just a note for using the sysinternals applications.First time application is run, you have to click ok to accept. This can lead to problems if server is not the machine were you are at the moment. If not, you have to use Remote Desktop to logon to the sql server and there click ok before exection continues in ssms/em.This behaviour was not there before. This was added when Sysinterals were incorporated by Microsoft. E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |
