I'm using SSEE as part of SharePoint 2003. The transaction logs are growing rapidly but don't appear to clear down.As its SSEE I've been so far unable to connect using Management Studio or Enterprise Manager, so using DBCC Shrinkfile isn't an option. Can someone please help? I'm surprised that when installing SP I didn't get the option to choose a db type or location.

Okay - I've managed to connect using Management Studio.I'm using the following in a (failing) attempt to reduce the transaction logs.use mastergobackup log "WSS_Content_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" with truncate_onlyuse "WSS_Content_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"goDBCC SHRINKFILE ('WSS_Content_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_log.LDF',1)goSyntax appears okay but the following error is returned:Msg 8985, Level 16, State 1, Line 1Could not locate file 'WSS_Content_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_log.LDF' for database 'WSS_Content_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'.

Have to use logical file name there. By the way, you should set job to do log backup if the db is not in simple recovery mode.
