For some reason when I'm trying to restore a back up, I'm encountering this problem, I've asked numerous people and been in and out of chatrooms all day and night, has anyone got any idea what to do?/Sil |

I don't know what it says as I can not see it properly, can you please elaborate by posting the error message in text format? |

Wow, read that post, and don't have a clue what it means, I'm really new to SQL, as in this is the first time I've used it, how do I access the "force restore" function, I could give that a go?/Sil |

Its on the options tab, but if this file can't be used (and looking at the error, I would say the filename is using an illegal character), then you will not be able to restore the backup anyway, also you may want to check that the SQL Server Agent account has the correct rights to be able to get to the backup directory. |
