We are having problems w/ our agent. When we try to start it in computer management, it will say the agent started then stopped because it has nothing to do. In surface area config, when we try to start it it times out. Does anyone have experience with this? We are desperate. Thanks!

Check out the Application Log in Event Viewer for any other related messages.

Have you tried rebooting? Do you have the latest service pack and GDRs applied?

We just re-installed SP2 and rebooted a couple of times. The messages in event viewer read the same as surface area. There is something I noticed in the ODBC Connection Pooling. There are no SQl agent drivers there and on another server I checked out they have drivers in that area. Not sure what that means.
