| The basic caveat is if you end up with a node down, all of the workload will be on a single machine. If your nodes are not strong enough to handle a double load, then you will have poor performance, until the bad node is back up. The question you have to ask yourself (and measure) is whether the actual performance degradation you will experience in that situation is significant to the business? |
