| I have a small doubt.where is the ideal place to run a profiler .can we run a profiler on production server or we have to run profiler on a seperate instance and connect to production server |

| Profiler can be run from any machine that has connectivity to the server you are monitoring. It does, however, create a small load on the monitored server, so if your server is already suffering from high CPU usage, or memory usage, you may want to run it only in short bursts from a remote client. |
