When I am in Maintenance mode, The users are trying to hit the database. I want to throw some message when they are trying to hit the database while it is in maintenance mode!! Is it possible..?

If possible, please help me to solve my problem.

Why does it matter during backups or restores? Backups are online operations. You shouldn't need to be in a specific downtime window for backups. For restores, the users can't successfully make it into the database until the restore is complete.

I just asking for specific time. Not for daily routines. Some times we used to restore the copy of production database to test server. For that purpose only i am asking to create a alert.
