What needs to be done to get an alert whenever SQL Agent stops?

We use a third party product that monitors services for us - Server Assist (but moving to HP Insight in the near future). We use it for more than just SQL Server services across our enterprise though. Both products have the ability to log this information in a repository and send out email messages for starters.

We used Foglight from Quest and select the Counter to send an alert if Agent down.

We use Microsoft MOM to monitor our Microsoft products such as SQL Server and Exchange.
