| Hi,Appreciated someone able to provide me some clu on how to perfom DBCC CHECKDB. Is it necessary to set the database to "Read only" before execute DBCC CHECKDB?Appreaciated your help.Regards,Jimmy Liew |

| If you're just doing the check, there's no special condition the DB has to be in. Be aware that CheckDB, especially on a large database can be an intensive operation.--Gail Shaw |

| DBCC checks the allocation, and integrity of all objects.If you have big size DB and do not try to run DBCC CHECKDB() on business time, It will take all resorces.ManojMCP, MCTS |
