| Use this procedure to find the port used by SQL Server 2005 instance:1. Launch the Server Configuration manager:2. Expand the Network Configuration node and find named instance in the list3. Right click on "TCP/IP" under "protocol name" and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.4. On the Properties screen on the "Protocol" tab, find the "Listen All" field, and note if it is "Yes" or "No".5. Click on the "IP Addresses" tab.6. If the "Listen All" field on the "Protocol" tab is "Yes", then the port number is in the "IPAll" section.7. If the "Listen All" field on the "Protocol" tab is "No", then it is in one of the other two sections, depending the IP Address of the named instance is. Find the IP Address (use ping if you have to) and use the port number assigned to it. CODO ERGO SUM |
