The "match exact phrase" feature of the search forums page is not working. An infinite universe is the ultimate cartesian product. |

Seems to be working fine to me. What do you mean by "not working"? That's not a very helpful description.- Jeffhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/JeffS |

put in a phrase like "table query row" and you will get results without that phrase. Look at the first link that returns when you search on it.I don't remember which phrase I was using originally but I have noticed this behavior for some time now. An infinite universe is the ultimate cartesian product. |

Can you provide a better step-by-step example? This one only demonstrates that things seem to be working fine.I put in "table query row" (no quotes). I checked off "Match Exact Phrase". I left the other options alone. I got exactly one result returned -- this thread. Which of course has that exact phrase. Nothing else was returned. I don't see any problem.I tried some others and they seemed to work fine as well. You do realize that by default, the text in the messages of the thread are searched, not just the title, right? That's one of the search options.- Jeffhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/JeffS |
