Hi,

Is there any danger of setting the recovery mode to simple if we are doing no log shipping and the transaction log is truncated every night anyway?

it depends how crucial your data is? if you need to restore from a backup tomorrow will you get sacked coz you can't give them anything more recent that the last full backup?

well we aren't shipping the logs anywhere so if the server went bang all we could give is last nights backup anyway.
