| I have a domain security issue that someone may be able to help with. The SQL Service is logged in as domain admin. In SSMS, I log into the query window as SA.I call xp_cmdshell to bcp a file to a local disk of the server and it works fine. But when I change the destination file for the BCP to a shared hidden drive on another server on the same domain, I get "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password."I've read the first few hits on google ad it's not seemed that helpful. Any suggestions? |

Tsk, tsk. The highest level of security it should have is local admin. If you log into the server directly using the SQL Server service account, can you get to the remote share via Start..Run \\server...\share...\?Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Subscribe to my blog |
