Hi,
I have an issue where I am unable to attach any databases to SQL2005 unless they reside in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data directory.

I originally had them in a database folder on my c: drive but in the MyDocuments folder.

I had to rebuild my machine and now I am left with the above situation (I am unable to browse to the database folder in my mydocuments folder when using the SQL Database Attach application in SQL2005).

Can anyone please provide a fix/ work around to attach my Database residing in: C:\Users\Pztydr\Documents\Data-DBs

Regards..
Peter

Copy it to the server and attach it.

Hi,
I have resolved my problem by changing the account that the SQL service is running under. As this is only running on Vista and local I changed it to the local account and have attached the databases I need.

Thanks..
Peter.
