| Am I correct in folloiwng statements, 1. Even though tempdb gets created at every server restart, the growth parameters like (initilial size, autogrowth settings) won't reset. 2. I just checked this. It is not behaving as you told. Are you sure? I changed the initial growth, after restarting the server, the new settings exist!quote:

My point is any new user DB gets the templare from MODEL. If we create a object in model that gets copied in new DB, also in tempdb when it gets recreated. The new Dbs get the growth parameter from MODEL, so why not the tempdb gets the growth parameters from MODEL?------------------------I think, therefore I am - Rene Descartes |

| 1)Well I am talking about the default value after restarting .It will if you change the settings.2) Model database has default full recovery model but not TempDB. |
