Hello,

I am new here and a beginner in SQL, too. I have looked around here and it is really a cool forum. Good job.

As beginner I have to move our existing SQL Sevrer for our web page (ASP) to a new server. But I can not find any command like "dump database" on the MS SQL Server.

How can I do this, to create a running (copy) version of the current SQL server?

The existing SQL server is version 2000 the new one is 2005.

Thank you.

B.S.

You can backup databases and restore in SQL 2005.
