| Dan writes "W2K w/SP3. On the server is E2K w/SP3 and ISA server SP1. SQL2k with SP2 and Analysis no service pack. Clean install of SQL and SP2. During the install of Analysis SP2 I get an " An error occured in the move data process -132" message. KB nor any other source provides an answer. Same problem if I try to install SP1 first. Thanks in advance,Dan" |

| Can't remember if that's the same error I got or not, it was quite a while ago. I couldn't install any service packs for Analysis services because the servcie wouldn't let go of the process. It would say it was stopped OK, but the service pack install would die because a file was in use. I ended up having to set the Analysis and SQL Server services to manual startup and then reboot the server. Only then was I able to successfully install the service pack.HTHJeff BanschbachConsultant, MCDBA |
