| Hi, We have purchased SQL SERVER 2000 License, for Single Processor, however we will have dual processor...Is it possible to installthe server and update the license afterwards? Can this cause problems?Thanks,--Sissi |

| During the install it will prompt you for licensing mode (pre seat or per processor) and you would answer with either 1 or 2.It will certainly let you install it although if you pick 2 then it may ask you for the CD code from the second license (which you do not have). In that case, you may have to answer one.It should let you install it though. You'll need to either purchase another 1-processor license, if that's truely the licensing you should be using (instead of per seat licensing) or use a single processor machine. |
