| Hi,While taking a backup on tape I got following error:Operations on device '\\.\Tape0' exceeded retry count.Backup process terminated abnormally.I am using this sql:BACKUP DATABASE mydb TO TAPE='//./Tape0'WITH NOINIT, STATS, NAME='mydb backup'Don't understand what is wrong. Please help!Ramesh |

| Hi RameshThis can happen if you have previous NT backup on the same tape.You might try a blank tape or format the tape before using it. |
