| Hello All,I am using a combination of Merge and snapshot replication. The initial snapshots for the publication are generated in Compressed format at the Distributor. The application is installed in a big banking environment with max available connection of 128kbps to the subscribers. When the subscribers(Pull Subscription) initiats the replication for the first time ie when the snaphots are applied to the subscribers for the first time. It seems to be extracting the compressed snapshot on the distributor and then applying the files at the subscriber leading to real slow implimantation of the snaphot at the subscriber.The reason we selected to use Compressed snapshot so that we can transfer the CAB file on the subscriber and process it locally but it doesnt seem to do that in our case.Is there some settings that i need to do ? or is it suppose to behave the way it is?Regards,Samrat |
