Hello
I am new in this forum.
I need a explanation of a dba, I have to configure some alert for the locks but I don't know what is the medium time for risck lock.
Can anyone help me .

YEAH!! I could do with this as well! A current question I have could really benefit from this! To get a lot more live detail on locks and how busy they are, just by running a query and what it all means? Activity Monitor is just crap!

for SQL Server 2000 look at this:

for 2005 there are DMV's for this.
