hi,

i can't backup a database due to this error., how am i going resolve? or who can help me to reslve this?

BackupDiskFile::RequestDurableMedia: failure on backup device 'F:\Backup Movex\Movex'. Operating system error 1130(Not enough server storage is available to process this command.).

You need to either clean some disk space or add additional disk space as you don't have enough free space to backup the database.

but my network drive space is more than enough. and if i backup to local drive, it is ok but failed on network drive. anywhere for me to trace this?

The message is very specific. SQL server did not pick this randomly when the job failed. It also has nothing to do with it being a network drive (that error would indicate something along the lines of "file not found"). You need more disk space to accomplish what you're trying to do, plain and simple. Make your life easieer by following the posted suggestion - there is nothing to trace.

Hi,

Just wondering if you got this issue resolved. I have the same problem that I have 5 times more space than the size of the backup file. I have no problem backing it up in the local drive but if I make a scheduled job to back up to a network drive, there is an error saying that the server does not have enough space.
