 cannot connect to query analyser

i was running a huge update and it bombed in the middle of update. after that i could not connect to query analyser. i have tried rebooting the box. Im able to open up enterprise manager and when i click databases, it just hangs displaying the hour glass. any idea?

It's due to Roll back.
What do you see with sp_who2 active?

i could not open query analyser to issue the statement, also i went to current activity and dont see anything running

i see one activity "CHECKPOINT" . is this the problem

Check Sql server log .Checkpoint means it is flushing dirty pages to disk.

You shouldn't have rebooted the server
