I have setup a two node cluster for SQL 2K. My question is when you use the OS Services manager, each service has a startup type (manual or auto).

For SQL Server services:
MSSQLSERVER
SQLSERVERAGENT
FullText

Should these be set to manual or auto?

My suspicion is that they should be manual with the cluster administrator controlling when SQL Server is starting or stopping.

TIA solart

I believe these should be left at Auto.

I'm pretty sure they should be left at auto as well.
I don't recall manually starting our services on boot.

In our setup we have them set to manual and let the clustering services control startup and such.
