HI GUYS,
I AM NEW TO SQL SERVER. I AM WORKING IN SQL SREVER 2000 ON WINDOWS SERVER 2003. SINCE IT IS THE PRODUCTION DATABASE,SOME OF THE JOBS HAVE FAILED DUE TO THE BELOW ERROR IN LINKED SERVER.
SQL SERVER DOES NOT EXIST OR ACCESS DENIED.
PLEASE ANYBODY CAN TELL ME,
HOW TO VIEW THE IP OF THE LIKED SEREVR IN THE SQL SERVER 2000 DATABASE ?
AND
HOW TO PING THE LINKED SERVER.

Find those linked server inside jobs and see if they are working properly. You can get lists with sp_linkedservers and test with sp_testlinkedserver.
